Cairns

Cairns (pronounced kanes, a really long A and no R)

We had an early morning flight from Sydney to go to Cairns, a city located in the north part of Australia. We used this as a hub to bop around from place to place. It is very touristy and has a young party crowd, but is also very centralized. We spent most of our time looking for an electrical transformer since we had already burned through two.

The weather was in the 90's and incredibly humid.

We stayed at this little Motel 6. Hmmmm. The one good thing about the place is that it had a salt water pool. It was only for one night!

How many times do we have to tell you don't let Grandma near anything electrical! Too bad Frankie isn't there to fix everything for you. If you need him - he is happy to be on the next flight out - just send him the ticket! The kids are loving this. Thanks for letting us share your adventure.
P.S. Emma just finished her sewing project and wants to show Grandma. So, for purely selfish reasons - don't loose Grandma!
