A walk to the pier. Lunch on the outside terrace, The Harbor Side restaurant, overlooking the harbor. Beautiful view, wonderful service and amazing food. All around 10!
Walk back to the hotel passing by the Auckland Sky Tower. Stopping at the Starbucks only to find that they don't have regular coffee. Very weird! The closest thing was 3 shots, a bit of cold water, ice and a spot of skinny (skim milk). It's almost a "black straight up with skinny" but not quite.
We had a flight to catch at 5:00 pm heading to Christchurch, our only destination on the South Island. New Zealand has 2 main islands, North and South, and many little islands all around the coasts.
